@hipro5: o_O , havent ever heard of that until now. im going to try it out immediately.
but i think my 730 wont boot 12x267, but i gonna set it to 200 in bios, pci-e @100 and pci @33.3 , then boot into windows and lower multi tot 10x with EIST and set FSB to 267 w/ clockgen.

    will report if it works

Edit: okay guys, tested the clockgen method, doenst work, gives me a freeze

    Upgraded the aircooling a bit:

Zalman CNPS9500 on CPU and Alpha PAL8942 on GPU now. Got some 35-40MHz extra CPU speed compared to the previous CPU cooler.
Need to install a bit heavier fan on Alpha in order to reach the GPU speeds I got w/ Zalman CNPS7000CU on GPU.

    So far I've got 40200 in 2001SE (at 269.5x10) and 10650 in Mark05 w/ this cooling.
41k and 11k are the aircooled goals with the hardware I'm useing. With 780 I need to set new goals

Kinc, with some good luck that might be just possible

    But now I think I'm pretty much done w/ this 740 CPU, 41k aircooled at 2832MHz =)

    (click for complete screen)

and this is a sub-2.7GHz run

I was gonna ask the same thing. Is this a secret kept between some of the best overclockers?? Macci, insane results. Cant wait for the LN2/DI runs. Also, like kinc said, u need a 780 for some serious results.

haha...ocer's unwritten code of the playground...

Nice scores Macci !!! But that CPU is killing you in 01. Awaiting 3.6Ghz dothan + 2ghz memory runs sometime in near future ;p:

A program that can change values in a table i have forgotten the name of. Programs like A64 tweaker changes settings in this table. The old NF2 idle-tweak used this table too.
If you know how to use the table you have quite a lot of possibilities

OMG I was soooo thinking about putting the 9500 onto dothan as i saw it used same mounting as 7000's, and you did it!

was it hard, much chance to break core? what temps you getting?

and i think u mean vf700-cu on gpu lol

nope macci stuck the cpu zalman on the gpu, macci, why did you stop using it if its giving better cooling? space issues, think it would be fine weight wise if it was in a proper case on its side? or you think the alpha will be better than the zally with a proper fan?

I dropped you a PM to ask how you mounted the zally on the x1800 as i'm looking to try that.

EDIT, one last thing macci, how would you rate that big ass zalman you got on the cpu compared to a xp120/7700 zally?

Maybe your rams or your settings of them can't handle the frequency.... How's macci doing 275MHz?.....

hehe, but i mean, your "idea" of the fix doesnt work, can reach 250mhz with S-ata HDD , i think 270mhz FSB are possible... maybe 280-290 with vchip mod

got some GEIL ULTRA-X w/ TCCD chips, the old ones 270mhz is easy for em
dont worry about my low post account im just not writing much in this forum but im readin a lot of stuff... XS isnt the only forum im registered at ..

btw, youll get a p4gd1, right? if you have it , will u look for a vdroop mod?

Yeap........I'll fix it GOOD........I'll look for Vdroop and VCore......Vchip will propably is the same as VCore BUT I'll cut the traces which feed the Northbridge through VCore and supply the Vchip (Northy) with a DDR Maximizer.....

I got kinda the same behaviour. Regardless of booting frequency, I cannot clockgen for steps more than 20-25 fsb, or the system freezes. This makes me using around 10mhz fsb increment steps, and, of course, therefore I cannot jump from 200fsb straight to 267fsb

With PCI-E set at 114 Mhz while SATA is still working, I'm able to run around 250fsb easily as well, for 260+ fsb I need PCI-E at 120 Mhz at least and that already leaves me on IDE only... however, then I'm able to reach 270 Mhz fsb and probably more, haven't tried the suicide shots, but both my 1gig kits of Redline as well as old school BH-5 were able to SuperPi 1M at 267 Mhz ~3.4-3.5 Vdimm supplied by DDR Booster (hipro, bring out that Maximizer ! )

As for macci, Dothan and X1800XT, I have no doubt 50K single card will be down soon
    away & gone

I have the exact same behavior with my board. Irritating as hell A bios with MP adjustment would be great for this board.
