    Xtreme 'nuff? ddr502 and P4 2.66@3760

    Wow!
    These tec thingies really work!
Ok, got my Swiftech MCW5000t running with a 5gallon reservoir at 5C water. It's using my new GEIL PC3700 Platinum DDR RAM!!!!!!
    This is the setup:
    P4 2.66 SL6DX Costa Rica @1.82v
    Albatron PX845PEV Pro w/ chipset voltage @1.6v
    Swiftech MCW5000T water block/226w TEC
    GEIL PC3700 DDR RAM 256mb @3.05v
    Radeon 9700 Pro
    TTGI 520w PSU
    This is the screenie at 20 x 188 = 3760mHz
    Note 502ddr
    This was also pretty stable...
The temps were ok, below zero after running a bunch of benchies...looks similar to Prommie's.
    Next step...hell I don't know
    Maybe 3800mHz or ddr510 or 4gHz ????????
Maybe next time it'll be coolant with dry ice...(-20C)
    And hey! props to GEIL!!!

Well my R9700 is toasted, so I'm waiting to get a new one...maybe first week of March. At 3400 on air i scored 19048/5741 for 01 and 03. I've never loaded superpi. Can you give me the link?

    Very, very impressive charlie. Congrats.
3.8Ghz is within reach now. Come on, you can do it.

    Jupiler,
Thanks. What's your advice for cranking it up? Would a vcore mod to 1.90v help? This OC was at cas2, 6,3,3 and 2.66 divider. Tomorrow I'll get some more ice and work on the 2.50 divider. Maybe even slacker timings to get the fsb up. Also maybe the AS3 will break in and lower my temps a bit...
Also, I'm using a pump that delivers...maybe 300l per hour...too weak right? Also it seems like my System temp is much higher with water cooling...any reason for that? Maybe because there's no cpu fan now and the board itself needs more airflow??
Does it help to let the tec and pump run for a while to let the coldplate REALLY get cold and THEN boot the system?

    -1°C isn't that bad at all. Under full load, my 2.8 @ 3.6 reads -5°C, 1.70V in bios.(Prommy cooled)
I honestly think you're reaching the limit of the chip. 1.90V might help you reach 3.8Ghz, but be carefull with high voltages, those C1's don't seem to like it.
Adding a fan blowing cold air into the case will of course lower the system temps.
I never had a tec, so can't help you with that. Maybe some other experts can answer your question.

This is with water about 7C. Mobo undervolts like crazy, or I'd probably go higher. Pretty good for cpu temp of 8C and RAM that's still burning in. 1.85 true voltage and I'm sure I'd have 3800/ddr506...

Hey Charlie, I thought to show you how my Gigabyte 8SQ800 is doing at 176 FSB with my 2.26. Unfortunately my board will not work with a new 2.66 C1 processor. I put that 2.66 in my Iwill P4HT and it post/booted just fine. Couldn't get the 2.66 to post but it sures likes B0 stepping cpu's.

    Enjoy!

EDIT: Oh yeah, Prime 95 is going fine at 174.

He's running his memory at a multiple of his bus speed, Async. vs running at the same speed Sync.

    Thanks.
I really miss having a functional R9700...I'd like to see what the extra mHz and mem b/w does to my 3dmark! And now if R350 comes soon I may just skip another R9700.
I'm anxious to see what a few more degrees will bring. If I fill the reservoir with coolant and throw in a block of dry ice I should be able to get -10C (or colder) coolant temp. Right now it seems like the tec will get my cpu a few degrees colder than the coolant temp. SO, maybe I can see -10C temps on my cpu.
I think the GEIL and my motherboard can support thr higher fsb, so if I can stabilize the cpu at 190fsb(3800mHz/ddr506) or 191fsb(3820mHz/ddr508) or 192fsb(3840mHz/ddr510). That last one is the one I really want!
