Dude, LOD gives u the only edge.. giving that minor increase in core and mem aint gonna give u 100+ fps! And VAPO aint cheating dude, LOD is pure cheating. I still dont undrestand why did u bench on LOD and then say I have to beat it without LOD and Venice vs Dothan aint good match right now... wait till i get my Opteron... get urself a decent cooling on the cpu for crying out loud... i mean how much are u gonna bench on ur inbox cooler? :S

    Good scores except 01

Killer clocks....you need more CPU power for 05 though (and 01 is just low for the CPU power you do have at your GPU clocks).

Nice scores insane mem speed. Don't count on the 146 doin 3.6. Mine did 3350-3400 on LN2 do to having a cold bug. It wouldn't boot at anything less then -27c base/evap temp. -28c was an automatic freeze in windows and wouldn't boot either. GL with the new chip hope yours runs well.

No it isn't, Futuremark have never released a new patch to stop LOD tweaks in the entire history of the bench, neither do they stop or throw out LOD tweaked nvidia scores, because it is a level playing field when nvidia to nvidia comparisons.

    Let me edit your sentence

"I just wont bench on LOD... thats just the way I prefer it !"

LOD is the Level Of Detail in graphics. Normally the Nvidia drivers alow LOD to be adjusted from -3 to +3 if I'm correct, this is to tweak the IQ in games. However a program like Rivatuner can be used to set values far greater making it possible to take away almost all the details. Setting LOD to -20 is considered a tweak but this is just because there is no patch to stop the use of it. The number of points gained is not big enough to be sure wether a person is using LOD or not.

So it's basicly a cheat under the name "tweak" because the use of this "tweak" is not controllable

Hey Mickey :P thats hard to beat with even a Opteron Maybe Dothan can do it :P My friend has a FX57 lolol 700Euros :| Umm I think I can get 40k and thats my point in 3DMark01... in 03 I want the WR and 05.. i think i cant get it. But why arent those 78.03 FM Approved??? I downloaded those from www.nvidia.com and it shows me they are WHQL and beta drivers are elswhere not on the main page... weird. Ok 77.77 it is then... damn just got news that i will be getting the Opteron on wednesday next week but Opteron 144 :P that should OC better than 146 eg 3000+ vs 3200+. Mickey... wtf... i beat u in 3DMark05? Whats the WR there? Im right on your tail in 2003 wait till I get my Vapo on my GTX hehe.

About LOD... I wont do that... I may do it some day but I will never publish that.

    Platoon ,
    Ok 77.77 it is then...
    77.72 are FM Aproved , 77.77 are not : http://www.futuremark.com/community/drivers/?approved
No point to use 78.01 or 78.03 , u get very little score increase (about +25 points ) and they are not official approved , FM are some lazy bustards , last time they bothered updating their approved drivers list was on June 29th, 2005 . Unfortunately that doesnt change the point of using or not using FM approved drivers , especialy when u are talking about WR's Good luck with your project m8

Great scores here platoon and gorod!
You guys really got that mem voltage/speed working for you on the 7800's.
Goes to show how gpu dependent single card 03' and 05' are.
I will be re-running some single card stuff with dothan 780. I hope one of these cards can put out that kind of mem speed...never tried to go over 2.18v or so. What volts are you guys running your mems at?

platoon was @ 2.8v for mem..
mine eVGA starts to artifact in 2d over 2.75v but it runs 3dmark 2005 628/1700

my 2700mhz cpu is too slow for 2k5 so i cant get decent score and 3dmark 2k3 just crashes in nature..
whereas i can run 2k5 3-5 times with no problems..

platoon, wanna try SLI with my card and your system?
i gonna sell my card soon anyways
