    Heh, you posted it 5 minutes before the NDA was lifted

    Seems to be a great card

    Now the ETA doesn't impress me at all (although it was pretty much known before).

    Btw, anandtech just posted news from digitimes that nVidia has scheduled the 90nm G72 for early 2006...

    Holy Smoke. Isn't that like two 7800gts or a highly clocked Prescott? I'm scared.

    Donate them some money so they can get the nVIDIA OpenGL drivers crew to write the OpenGL drivers for ATi.

    I don't see why it matters, its like picking to see who goes first with the bat when we were kids, but now the bat is like never ending, they will just go on topping eachother. Which is never a bad thing, besides our wallets taking a beating.

    lol look at this typo on ati's website
    "The new features of the Radeon X1800 XT - dynamic branching, full HDR support with full screen AA - means that we don't need to spend the time coding new paths to get the results we're striving for in our games," said Cevat Yerli, President, Crytek. "Performance with this board with this board has been more than satisfying and we have just started to fully maximize its potential."
    they got some sweet wallpapers now too http://www.ati.com/designpartners/me...RadeonX1k.html

    I hate to say it, but Nvidia has a much smarter design here. The Nvidia card looks to be slightly smaller, consumes about 1/2 the wattage that the ATI X1800XT consumes, has a 1 slot cooling solution for the GTX, and a very smart multipart core that varies its speeds based on what's being done.

    If Nvidia pulls out all the stops here, I believe they will crush ATI. Nvidia has so much room for improvement with their cards that I think they are just taunting ATI right now. I'm going to wait to see what Nvidia's next move is before I decide which way I'm going. I must admit that the SM3.0 support is definately a much needed implementation on ATI's cards. However, Nvidia has been supporting that for 2 generations now, so they know how the SM3.0 works at this point. I think there will be much optimization with their drivers coming up real shortly.

    ATI = <= PAPERLAUNCH!!!!!?!?!?!?!?!?
