Cheers!! The King of DDRI Samsung TCCD-GSkill FF with heatsink

Recently, 1GB rises sharply, it means great capacity generation is coming?!
As my experience, for general system, 51MBX2 are enough.
Only some heavy 3D Games need more than 1GB memory space.

Stop talking\1 Lets see what different with previous one.
New version with date code 2005/09, with copper sliver-color heatsink.
Someone think the heatsink doesn’t help much, but it really make it be better look!
Attractive packing is also an important selling point.

Use TCCD equally, on a price reduction to about 250~260 dollars

    FF official spec : 2.5-3-3-7 (PC4400) / 2.5-4-4-8 (PC4800)

    The past OC result
    Test configuration
    AMD 3000+ Venice 0517
    DFI nF4 LanPARTY SLI-D
    GSkill 1GBFF
    SPARKLE 6200
    TOPOWER520W

    DDR630 2.5 3-3-6 PI 32M

Even 1GBX2 rising is good news for buyers.
However, WINXP with often open software and files are only occupying 300~400MB memory space.

It is just like BMW325 2500cc.
Many cars’ power is bigger and cheaper, but BMW owns its reputation.

I believe TCCD still has the strength in high frequency, low latency and best memorychips :good:
Performance, Capacity, Price, Chip, Brand – everyone have their own standard to judge their own best C/P products.
    I choose TCCD, and you?!

Next Test might be one of the items below :
OCZ 1GBX2 DDR500, the price is around 340USD.

or GSkill 2GBHZ, the price is around 270USD.

or VGA cards?! Except 7800GTX SLI, I got 6800Ultra as well....

Wow, very nice result. The voltage needed for them is 2.8, from the naked ff it seemed they were picked to run @ low voltage, can they do 2.5-3-3-7 ddr600 @ lower vdimm of is 2.8 their sweet spot?

Both 2x1gig sets are based on the same Samsung IC correct? The OCZ is binned for guaranteed PC4000 speed but I'm not sure if its worth the $70 difference. I would like to see a head to head competition showing them both at maximum HTT 1:1 (whatever loose timing for highest speed) with both at about the same CPU clock. Use the GTX (stock speed) and the 3Dmarks to show the $70 difference. Thanks for your work.

Ugh! That's a heatspreader. They're worse than useless, and they cost $8 a pair.

but iddqd, they looks so pretty....

What if the ram manufacs put a pair of mounting holes in the DIMM PCB so the heatspreaders could be applied with thermal paste and then attached via a retention clip rather than the crappy clips that hold them together now

Well they dont bin to that standard. But according to g.skill they will reach ddr600 with any cpu on dfi nf4 @ 2.5-4-4-8 so id say its the best of the bunch, hence a lot will.

no, not all. SPEC is 2.5-4-4-8 1T, with these timings you can hit 310-315MHz. With 2.5-4-3-8 1T, this must be achievable too.

    I think 3 of the 5 kits can do 300Mhz 2.5-3-3-6 1T stable at voltage range 2.8 ~ 2.9v.

where in windwithme's profile or sig does it say he is a representative or is in any way affiliated with gskill? anywhere? are there past posts he has made which suggest he is a member of xtremesystems.org _representing_ gskill?

I don't mind this sort of thing personally, in fact I would recommend more people to do this.
As long as no-one is making falsehoods or misleading information, then this is the sort of data I would have loved as a n00b. Although, without the information I know now, I would have easily been hoodwinked.
But coming from guys who don't do anything but benefit our forums, then this is great stuff.
    No rig right now.

Don't jump over that bridge yet... there's still TCC5.

I've seen some TCC5 doing over 300MHz 2,5-3-3-x as well.
