A BIG Thanks to njkid32 for his priceless help, I'll keep process going on real hardware rig. Also Steff will send to me dead 3500+'s (one of it NewCastle), both naked, so I will try to disassemble one of them to examine every layer of it's PCB, and I will play with voltages on other one CPU with njkid32's mobo.

"4rory's Athlon 64 XSE" I love that way that sounds !

I just called amd and waited 20mins on hold to talk to tech support about a having an unlocked venice, to see what they would say, to get any possible info, I was trying to say I was scared it was going to break and wanted to know exactly what was wrong with it and how this could happen ect... but I got some dumb a** chick who just kept telling me AMD64's dont have multis or fsb. so i told her htt, she just kept repeating
"Amd 64 bit processors dont's have fsb or multipleirs they have intergrated memory controllers" or something like that, sound as if she was just reading it.

I would keep trying calling back to maybe get someone at amd that atcually knew something or could point us in right direction anything really, but it costs to much from here my 1 hour on the phone might be pretty expensive lol.

Maybe someone can cleverly bring up jtags if they get a senoir tech support person or something... see what he says.

I have wanted to put the pins on since I got it. I have a d-bracket that I used with my MSI Neo4 so I only need the f* pins to use it! But I don't feel like messing up my mobo just to get some external leds

What about BSLD files? while doing research on JTAG so i could kinda understand what was going on BSDL poped up, found these on AMD's site, still looking for more, they seem to have them out only for K6 chips.

well that was odd, i was about to run a bench and i had just cranked up all my settings in clockgen and the like when corecenter (MSI monitoring app) suddenly showed a FID of 11.5 for like 15 sec than went right back down to 9, tried to recreate it but failed, did my FID really jump or was it simply a software artifact?

    KoHaN69,
That's the connector for DFI's "R" boards Front-X display. It allows the debug leds to be moved into a 3.5" housing.

Edit: Hmm. Actually it's for 5.25” drive bay.

Thanks. I could just take one off from a dead mobo but I don't know if both onboard leds and external leds will work at the same time, will they?

david+ they did on my lanparty NF2 and i know the LP sli board uses both, i doubt they took the effort to do anything other than not solder the pins.

    back to topic:

i have only been a part of this post for about 1 week and a half now and i know how anxious i was last night when it seemed that we were on the verge of cracking this, but lets just remember that we are all going for the same thing here and the more info we can get to the ppl who can use it the better, that said i have a class to get to but ill be back at work il a couple hours.
