Some are TCCD, some are TCCX. LOT #s ARE NEEDED to confirm ICs.

If I bought the Corsair XMS PC3200C2 Rev4.2 expecting (as one would) TCCD and found out the IC's were actually TCC5 I would not be very happyOriginally Posted by Wired-HoH

lots and lots of cores and lots and lots of tuners,HTPC's boards,cases,HDD's,vga's,DDR1&2&3 etc etc all powered by Corsair PSU's
ok, v4.2 is mixed then.
Frankly, there's no reason to be upset. When investigating what ICs are in their memory, they're pretty clear that there can be multiple ICs used within a revision, and that the part # / revision # / lot # is needed for them to check what ICs are in each stick.Originally Posted by alpha0ne
If someone ASSUMES something without doing research, then it's their own fault. Fortunately, Corsair's RMA policy is pretty lenient, and their cust service has been known to go above and beyond when replacing memory when someone buys 2 sticks that aren't of the same revision. However, they cannot guarantee which lot # someone gets (in otherwords, which IC someone gets).
Is this TCCD on Brainpower PCB?

Are there no value rams with TCCD? Like some Winbond chips are to be found on Value.

Looking for new RAM.
Should I go for sticks with TCCD chips or BH5 chips? The BH5 sticks need a lot of power to run at high speeds with good timings, so do I need active cooling for for them because of the voltage being 3.2V+?

Is There Any 2gb Kit With Samsung Tccd Chips?
This is not possible, as TCCD can only be used in 512mb modules due to it's 32mb chips density. 1gb sticks take 64mb chips.Originally Posted by micorreo

. How do I check if it's TCCD? I'm thinking of just replacing it and get another TCCD based RAM.
Is the Kingston KHX3200ULK2/1G memory kit still TCCD base or it has changed? I'm on the market for new TCCD base ram. Should I get one with brain PCB to ensure the best clock speed? Thanks.
i brought a corsair cmx512-3200 3-3-3-8 black, rev 1.4, that is samsung tccd also,
but it need high voltage for better performance.

when did you buys these? are they the XBLK series? used to be all XBLK were tccd with the BP pcb. now im starting to wonder if they havent switched to diff chips? i just ordered a pair last night and hope to recieve tccd chips but for some reason im getting a funny feeling about this...... you can take one of the heat spreaders off and look at the chips it will say tccd 4xx on the chip. please post back if you decide to take one of the spreaders off. i hope you report back with tccd....Originally Posted by Sgt_Strider

yes please im interested to know also..
Im Switching from a gig of OCZ gold bh-5 utt to 2 gig setup and im hoping for 280ish or maybe even 300, I remember beck somewhere that some value ram had -5b chips based on crucial ballistix..
If I could only find this post and do some research ive been looking for a few days but im in so many different forums I dont remember where I read it at..
I know someone said there is 1 gig value sticks based on -5b or wutever ballistix chips can someone remember this post?
if so can you point this out, Battlefield is killing me with only a gig..

does PQI Turbo Memory Ultra (ddr400 2-2-2-5 @ 2.6v) use the same TCCD and PCB as just plain Turbo?
Not too long ago I was linked to a post by Angry Games over at DFI Street and in that post he referred to his 4x512 sticks of Buffalo Tech TCCD modules.
I have never seen any other references to TCCD from Buffalo Tech. Does anyone know anything about these sticks? I checked the list but did not see them (it is entirely possible that I overlooked them).

The the only reference I found was on 1gig sticks. Too good to be true. Me and another guy ordered these, but they turned out to be not as advertised. Working on an RMA now. The Micron IC on the Buffalo wasn't close to the binned Crucial stuff. Check the stickied 2gig thread for details.
1 gig stick with TCCD is a pretty rare animal. Only place I can find anything close to it is its close cousin TCCC here.

Good luck on you search for BUffalo 512mb TCCD sticks.
