Keep in mind they are trying to transition their major business to integrated graphics solutions. Discrete video logic chips make up a small portion of the market. For example, Intel sells more graphics solutions than Nvidia and ATI combined. Just not for enthusiast markets, which Intel could care less about. ATI has stated in the past they are moving towards making more integrated products...doing this removes engineers and teams from the discrete chip business. I for one think they are making the correct business move. I have much more interest in the sales of IGP's from an investor standpoint (I'm a shareholder) than I have for R520 which makes up a tiny percentage of sales when released...

Business performance in this segment is not about how many mad ocer's buy the top line video cards....it's about sales in the mid range segment and the performance of chipset sales.....What having the best card on the planet does is attract attention to the other solutions, but Nvidia survived fine when ATI whooped them for over a year and the same will be true in reverse...
