Hi all!
I have recently sold my OCZ PC4200 EL 1GB Kit in order to advance to 2GB.
After about a week of researching the 2GB market I found out a lot of interesting things and amongst them the next:
PQI has two comparatively cheap 2GB kits of RAM:
PQI3200-2048DB - rated 3-4-4-8 @ 200, non-ECC
&
PQI3200-2048DBR - rated 3-3-3-8 @ 200, ECC
Just FYI DB and DBR have black mirrored HS, while there're also DP and DPR kits with platinum mirrored ones.
I'm curious, how came that ECC kit is faster than non-ECC?
Have anyone tried these?
How do they OC? Max FSB? Min latencies?
And which of them would you recommend for gaming if the money woudn't be your concern?
P.S.
Since Crucial Ballistix are not available in local stores, I have to choose either one of these kits or OCZ PC3200 Plat. or OCZ PC4000 Gold.
I run P4 2.4C @ FSB 282 on P4C800-E DLX, so that's the rig and that's the FSB I look a 2GB kit for, and yes, I know, that I'll have to use a divider
Any ideas, advices or experience will be highly appreciated! Thank you in advance.
