Review: Jetway gives us SLI with a twist.

Jetway mounts 3 x16 PCIe slots single-spaced on their 939GT4-SLI. The outer slots, colored green, are configured as x8 slots and can be combined in SLI mode using the included SLI bridge. The middle x16 slot, colored yellow, is a single x16 PCIe slot. For single video, you use the yellow x16 slot. For dual video or SLI, you use the green slots.

Jetway does not need a paddle card, or jumpers, or switches in this arrangement. The design is simplicity in itself. What's more, this board theoretically could be a better performer without the paddle, jumpers or switches that can limit overclocking performance.

a.k.a., eVGA SLi board

EDIT: just read the review and I'm actually impressed. Looks like that freebie board was a good deal after all.

This ain't a bad board in it's own right either....it OC'd very well after all. It also performs admirably and is a good budget board.

Not that AT always knows what they're doing, but I wonder what some of these people's FXs could do on a non-DFI board for max speed....according to AT, the DFI boards hold them back somewhat

I was impressed after reading that review.

I had a feeling those boards weren't crap, even if they were being given away with EVGA 7800 cards, cause one thing... the LED on the board.
that one little thing alone, told me, there was more effort put into that board, then most would assume.
cheap boards, tend to be cheap from the top down... so why put the LED on there, I wonderd?

apparantly Jetway, was putting some effort in to this, and it shows.

When I saw it had power and reset buttons on the board, I was shocked, I actually thought that maybe it wasn't so bad (this wasn't until I was a page deep into the review though, heh).

So far I haven't had any issues with the evga sli board that came with my 7800, looks just like the jetway except for having a green pcb.

Not allot of options in the bios really but has better then average vdimm and vcore adjustments, feels kinda stripped in bios overall.

I've only had it running a couple days now with a 3700sd at 11x240 but I've had to run it at 2T timings at 240.

Anyways no big complaints about the board, however after reading a little of that write up I guess I should move my video card to the middle pci-e slot.

very cool, I've always had luck with Jetway boards in the office, but never thought they could make it in the enthusiast market, glad to see they proved me wrong. Now maybe jetway or chaintech could step up and bring us a good Yonah/Dothan motherboard
