According to Enermax both on the Games Convention are issued Galaxy power packs the only their kind. They are to be admired also only behind glass, in the enterprise can one the two current blocks yet not to be seen. A total output of 1.000 Watts is to reach the PC power pack of all times highest performance according to statements of the manufacturer - 1 kilowatt in the PC would be indeed record. The equipment heavy over 3,5 kilograms projects with estimated 25 centimeters deeply into the PC, in short Tower housings must probably the optical drive assemblies be more deeply put. Two exhausts cool the power supplier, it are arranged at the short end in the PC and at the lower surface. Together with the temperature control of the fans so the noise level is to remain bearable.

All modern connections are available, inclusive the new ATX-12-Volt-Stecker in version 2.8. Also two PEG power connections for diagram maps are available. Enermax wants to be able to draw ever 18 ampere with finished the Galaxy not developed yet from the four 12-Volt-Schienen. That became also for computers with two SLI Grafikkarten and two separate processors, about Opterons or Xeons, is enough. Typical play machines are even content with Intels extremist or AMDs FX CPUs and the fastest diagram maps still with 600-Watt-Netzteilen. With a typical efficiency by approximately 70 per cent it is besides to be considered that the Galaxy power pack under full load up to 1400 Watts might pull from the plug socket. This would correspond to a small hair hair dryer or a vacuum cleaner - devices, which one uses in the household however in the rule only few minutes at the piece. In October 2005 Enermax wants to bring the Galaxy power pack on the market. The price is between 200, - and 300, - euro lies.

1:1 for computer equipment usually, so $200-300. Maybe 220-360 if they make it evenly priced for both sides of the Atlantic when it releases.

    I don't think we need bigger psu's, but higher-quality psu's.

I call it the wank factor this enermax. Even Intel's backing up on the heat/power draw.

Knowing enemax, that's the 1 second full load rating. It will probably handle something similar to the PCPNP PSU, probably less.
For those of you about to post:

    Talk about an overkill?

If you need such big PSU, I would go with no other than the PCPnC 850 SSI. I bet it's better than the Enermax by every aspect (except e-penis); and also, I can back it up with my UPS (APC 1500VA).

Anyways, I really don't think anyone needs a bigger/better PSU than the OCZ520/PCPnC510.

Now we can finally say 1 Kilowatt rather than 1000 watts.

1 Kilowatt sounds so much beefier.
Currently building my i7 920 rig

a bit rediculous i think, especially when i believe the PCP&C would blow it out of the water, enermax makes quality psu's no doubt, but they arent on the same level as top of the line psu's imo.

i really like Xassius' view on this, i owuld much rather have several high quality 400watters on the market then all these cheapo 500w units that cant even power something my 350w fortron source can.
