Sampsa & Kamu take OPP & Kingpin down in 3DMark05

It was a long and a hard way but we finally managed to get a decent score in 3DMark05 with pair of 7800 GTX cards. Unfortunately our CPU cannot make even 3700 MHz with LN2 so OPP, Kingpin and Shamino have some advantage on that part.

    Compare URL: 16724

Only 46 points from Shamino... once again it's just like how it was with 6800 Ultras!!

Here are some more pics of tests: http://www.muropaketti.com/3dmark/g70/

    Cheers!

We'll have to work with CPU power.. 3645 MHz just isn't enough. Also we didn't have any artifacts with the graphics cards so I think there is still some room left to push those harder. Anyway, I'm happy with this result but next time we'll aim for 17k

I'll be travelling next two weeks so no benching coming up. I also think that Kingpin and some others will propably join the 16,7+ club soon

Is the base of your cpu container -62c as shown on the tempmeter in pic 01.jpg?

I always thought -75/-80c was the ideal evap/base temp for the FX-57, so that means your cpu really sucks

    But great scores anyway

Congrats on the better score guys! well done.
My cards are still on water. As soon as my container is done for middle card, it's 695/1500 time

Yes.. Like I said earlier you'll propably beat our score soon. But be prepaired for problems with LN2, atleast we encountered PLENTY of them

I think watercooling for these cards are child's play

I'm ready sampsa . I have run both cards in single mod at 694/1500 for 3d with ln2, but not together in SLI. I agree it's going to be very difficult keeping both cards where they need to be temp wise, as well as not letting them go below -55c. Add a fx that need to be kept within a few degrees of -75c base temps......ln2 nightmare.

695 MHz is ROP or Geometric clock? Anyway, good luck to your benches! 7800 GTX + SLI + LN2 required hell of a lot studying before we got them running.

Next time we'll be back with higher CPU speed.
