Just wondering if new CPU's based on the Yonah Core and the Sonoma architecture could be installed on old Boards (CT-479 compatible Asus boards...)
By the way, i could also be angry about the fact that Intel won't add EMT64 instructions in those CPU's....what a waste.....
In the socket is still the 479, this may become realistic......
Konwing that you can modify yourself the FSB on the Ct-479 (between 400 and 533).......And even on some boards (P4GD1 for instance)...the board recognized herself the frequency of the front side bus...
So, knowing than the future Yonah Dual-core will run on a 667(?) FSB, and that every Asus boards will accept more than 230 FSB with an overclocked Pentium M.......
everything is set to raise the bar......
Anyone has info??? or regrets???
