    News for TCCD Enthusiasts

I have been away from the forums for sometime , however I noted that regardless of the fact that we were passing on the savings of TCC5 chips to consumers while not redcuing performance there was still a large contingent of users , most of whom are here on XS , who begged and insisted , both in Email and PM to me that OCZ release a TCCD based product again , regardless of the cost increase , again and again I was told people are willing to spend the extra money , though it seemed nonsense to me as the performance was the same

After contemplating this for sometime it occured to me that even though I wanted to please end users by making the tccd product they so badly wanted I would feel horrible producing a product with no perfomance advantage over tcc5 , so finaly last week I decided that we would release a TCCD based product with a new testing and binning proceedure we have been working on , to maximize the value to end users and simply dispose of the large amount of failed chips in our standard Pc-3200 Rev 3 chips , that way bargain hunters buying the cheap stuff might find a suprise and end users demanding TCCD would get not only tccd , but a new higher speed grade of TCCD

I hope that this really serves the needs of the comunity as a whole

The new product is going to be named PC-4800 Platinum Elite edition and is being tested with significant built in overhead and dual speced of 2-2-2 @ 3200 and 2.5-4-4-8 @ 4800, this product should have some increased performance over the current 4800 as we are increasing the test spec above the normal 4800 , the failed tccd will only go into our very low end product
    Pc-3200 Performance rev 3 and PC-3200 gold C2

Anyway , I hope this is a step to provide what everyone needs ,
    Thanks
    Ryan
