I thought everybody use alot of time on preparing their Harddrive for benching.. As you say your self, OS/BIOS/RAM is the half of the "result"..

For me there is only 1 true benchmark for system testing purposes. And thats 2001.. And the one with most prestige in the top spot! IMO...
