There is a QVL for SSDs yes.
Not that I know of. If your DVD drive worked before it should now.
As for the questions:
1) Why do you want to do this? I've never tried it. Try it and see what happens.
2) Not sure, I wouldn't worry about it (likely detection purposes).
3) Which terms specifically?
EZ flash prompts twice before flashing (point at file once, then final confirm). It's enough.
