My WCG ATI_hcc1 crunching PPD were closed to yours. I ran 4 WUs per GPU and only had a couple of full days where crunching was not disrupted by other computer use. 4 WUs per GPU produced 3 to 4 code 233 errors per day (nothing down the pipe) but no invalids. 3 WUs per GPU may just be the sweet spot for a single 6990. the single 7970 that has replaced it is much more efficient at crunching but not as good as the 6990 for gaming and video work. I am going to transfer the 7970 to a crunching rig and get the 6990 back into my working/gaming rig.
