If encoding is important to you (like it is for me ), the 83xx would be a decent upgrade...

I'm still working on max clocks for the 8350 (there may be a little more in it), but here's what I've gotten so far with this chip...
FWIW, These clocks Prime Blended for ~30 minutes without failure!:



Granted, 2.5 FPS while encoding isn't super impressive, but that can actually add up when crunching some HD video...

The other nice thing is that power consumption is ~90w lower even with the higher OC...

Long story short, the 81xx-83xx isn't as big as the jump from the PH1 (9950) to the PHII (965), but it's still a nice improvement!

Considering the price, and your usage, I'd say it's a worthy upgrade...
