The Fukushima reactors are contained Boiling Water Reactors that are not at all like less safe types like the reactors that were in Chernobyl or Pressurized Water Reactors. Radioactivity has already leaked from the plant and more will undoubtedly be released but not to the extent or in an explosive form with major fallout a la ChernobylOriginally Posted by saaya
