Corsair H70 testing & results thread....

Already posted in the news thread but I think the H70 deserves its own thread here

Quick and dirty open bench test 1:

Setup:

i7 980x @ 4000mhz (160x25) with 1.225 vcore.
Full load test (crunching WCG HFCC 12 threads 100% load)...
H50 and H70 both tested in push / pull with the 2 fans supplied with the H70 kit @ 1980 rpm.

Ambient temp 21 Celcius.

Max core temp after 1 hour in Coretemp 99.7 x64:

H50: 59 Celcius

H70: 52 Celcius

Improvement?

Yes!

Notes:

The hoses on the H70 are shorter than the H50:

H50 hose length 29cm.
H70 hose length 21cm.

The supplied fans are noisy at 1980rpm!


TEST 2(higher vcore):

Setup:

Open bench

i7 980x @ 4000mhz (160x25) with 1.2625 vcore.

Full load test (crunching WCG HFCC 12 threads 100% load)...

H50 and H70 both tested @ 1980rpm push / pull with the 2 fans supplied in the H70 kit.

Ambient temp 21 Celcius.

Max core temp (hottest core) after 20 minutes in Coretemp 99.7 x64:

H50: 62 Celcius

H70: 56 Celcius

Still looking good
