    Test msi 5670 cyclone 1g

    I've made a test with an MSI R5670 Cyclone 1G (1GB)
There is gradually made many tests on this card, but again shows what the card really can overclocking to. That is what I meant to throw me over and find max mem and gpu on air/watercooling.

    Test Setup
    CPU: I7 860 @ 4210MHZ
    Motherboard: MSI P55 GD80
    RAM: ADATA 2x2GB DDR3 PC 2000x 1600 cl9
    PSU: GIGABYTE 800W Odin
    GFX: MSI R5670 Cyclone 1G

    Programs:
    ATI CCC
    MSI Afterburner
    3DMark Vantage and 03/05/2006.

    Specifications on the map
Here is some information on the map
    Name: MSI R5670 Cyclone 1G
Ram: 1024MB DDR5 Samsung has approved to 4000MHZ,
MSI has set a uP620180/VCU905 power circle on making that one can give up to 1.35V with MSI afterburner, it is 0.15v more a standard.
The card also comes equipped with a quiet air cooler is nice

MSI should have high praise for this cooler, the water I could not overclock higher than in air.
The only difference is the noise and it must be said that the cooler can only be heard when put at over 60% in ATI CCC or Afterburner MSI
At 60% cooler to keep gpuen at 56c load with overclock at 990/1200 1.35V set with MSI Afterburner.

    Max Overclock
I test the card on three ways.
Initially I used the tool from AMD / ATI called the ATI CCC, after which I switched to MSI Afterburner to get the card higher. Finally, there was some Vmod to give the card more volts when I overclocked the MSI Afterburner.

ATI CCC puts its limit with a max of 850/1200 at 1.2v it's an overclock of 13.5% on gpuen and 19% at mem, it was also a max overclock at mem in every test, which is also quite nice when they are only authorized to 4000MHZ.
MSI Afterburner gives a little more free hands, so this card could come up 990/1200MHZ 1.35V gives an overclock on gpuen 32%.

This is most enough for everyday use, but I will see what the card really can and will push it even higher.

Extreme OC on Air and Water Cooling
Here we look at what it can when you've made a Vmod.

Here it is then fitted with air cooling.

I came to the conclusion that it was better to drive with air than with water because it actually Cooling little short even better.
First I started MSI afterburner, and screwed up my vmod, at 1100MHZ on gpuen I could stick to 1.56 v, If I were higher than what I had to get up to 1.63v to run at 1140MHZ gpuen, whole 52% overclock on air, and here I could then run any 3DMark tests without graphic errors I have not tampered with driver, to asking service

I could get the card in the top three in all 3DMark Test hwbot.org. without any violent overclock my cpu.

I will conclude by Vantage, and a few links.

    Conclusion:
MSI have with this card made a really good product. During testing there was only one thing bug whit MSI Afterburner who found it difficult to adjust the fan properly and it's not the card's fault.

This card is really OC potential and you can get a wild card for cheap money. I thought that this product deserves top marks

    sorry the bad english
