Mount everything up but not super tight. Super tight mountings can actually warp the MB and cause all kinds of other problems. When I am mounting a Evap I give the Evap a few twists and turns to snug everything up nice.
Leave the Phase off, turn on your computer and have a temp meter on the Evap and let it run until you get to 50c or so then shut off the computer.
The heat will cause everything to settle down and spread out and form good contact.
Then tighten down a little bit more and your good.
My thoughts are if you just mount the Evap then fire up the Phase and get everything cold before you ever turn on the computer you will freeze any bumps in the TIM and will result in bad contact.
Also when tighten down the 4 thumb screws snug them all up, not tight, then thighten down the thumb screws at opposite corners at the same time. try and do it so each thumb screw is tighten the same amount so you dont end up with more pressure on one screw vs another.
intresting
sow you just fire up the motherboard but without turning on the phase.
Going to test this out sounds like a good plan. thanks for the advice ^^
