mm after some more testing i found out that the HT bus is the problem that is causing the raid controller to fail the init
1800mhz Ht default for the ph2 x4 940, raidcontroller has issue's and internal system reboots but it works after a while.
2000mhz Ht dafault for the ph2 x4 965, raidcontroller has more internal reboots and kinda looks like it gives up after like 6 reboots, controller never shows up.
i tried to manually underclock the Cpu mem controller and the Ht bus to 1800 on the 965 cpu , it sort of works as the problems same as the 940 come back but it sees the controller after a while , but when loading windows system locks up
i've informed areca also about this problem i hope they can do something with it.
also when i overclock the cpu mem controller of the 940 to 2000mhz +HT then it give's the same problem as the 965 so it isn't the cpu that is causing this. bios issue i guess
