The G.SKILL Perfect Storm shipped to me in a plastic package.




These sticks are built around Elpida's MHN-E Hyper ICs and rated for DDR3-2000 speeds with 8-8-8-21-1T timings at 1.65vdimm.




The Perfect Storm series Core i7 kits which come with a dual 60mm air cooler plus blue LEDs with a 4-pin connector.




The standard heatspreaders are epoxied to the ICs and the PCB.



Test System
Today, we'll be using our Biostar X58 testbed ,the OS Microsoft Windows XP Pro and the benchmarking applications Everest v4.60 and SuperPi 1.5mod.
The G.SKILL Perfect Storm were clocked at DDR3 2000MHz with 7-7-7-21-1T,for stable performance vDIMM was set to 1.68v and DDR3 1900MHZ with 6-7-6-21-1T timings at 1.88vDIMM.
