HD 4770 Previews/Reviews

There is sofar only 1 site that shows those low idle modes. All the rest dont. If a HD4770 uses 25-30W idle then alot of cards should be about 10W or below 0W....

Also there aint any 2D mode with Vista/Windows7.

yes there is a 2D mode...do you not own a card that throttles down? my HD3870 throttles it's mem/gpu clocks even in Vista.

Hexus shows the 4770 using ~12W more than a 4670 in idle, which puts it around 27W idle. Anandtechs numbers are strange, since I don't recall ever seeing a 4850 idle lower than a 9800GT. Techreport has it idling what, 15W more than a GTS250, so maybe that's around 40W?

also, silentpcreview found the card to idle around 28W, and load between 50-60W depending on the stress test they used.
