Anyone actually install the HR-03GTX yet?

I have been keeping track of this thread, just absorbing the info. I am trying to figure out the best way to go with my GTX285... I am also using my older 8800GTS G92 as a physX card and if I move to the HT-03GTX I will need to get of the physx card and I'm not sure I want to do that yet, unless I can come up with a new config for the HT-03.

I will definitly be using your parts list, that is for sure!!

I see your dillema! Well, in all fairness, the stock cooler wasn't all that bad for me, as long as I ran the fan at 100%. With the GTX285, you may have an even cooler running card as there were some improvements there with the new die size over the 280.

I know that the former HR-03's could be mounted the other way around over the back of the card with the 8800-9800 series cards. Thermalright doesn't recommend that for the 280 but that's with their own vrm heat plate. It's just that there should be some kind of airflow on the vrm area to keep their temps. in check.

If the dual-card physX setup is working well for you, then you will want to keep that for sure.
Aside from the alternative mounting method for the HR-03 GTX, there are supposedly going to be other coolers coming for the 280-285 cards from Arctic Cooling and possibly even Noctua. They have been way too slow in making these for the Nvidia cards though, I had to wait about 6 months longer than anticipated for Thermalright's cooler!

One more thing I would have liked to have seen was a T-Rad that is compatible for the 280-285 cards.
That may very well have fit into your setup
