If the Registration server is stuck? Solution is at hand!

So you fire up another Dimes node but can't register? Well get teh file C:\Program Files (x86)\DIMES\Agent\Classes\Base\conf\properties.xml from an existing, working installation and copy it across to teh same directory in the unregistered NEW installation.

You can edit the entries to give it whatever node name you want, and all the normal things. Since its already copied from a working Dimes installation, the file will still have your new installation connected in your name on the XS team. Once you restart the agent after the copy across you can see the settings for yourself. It shoudl show your name, XS team etc etc.



EDIT: CHANGE THE FOLDER PATHS IN THE FILE ASWELL. FORGOT THIS!
