.....what.......sarcastic?...well here are screen shots of 22c idle and another on 100% load like i said it wont go over 42c both shots at 4.45ghz if you look at the top of the real temp window

Every thing you said was debunked from the start...because true temp reads 27c idle on the same board and cpu and dosnt go over 49c on 100% 30 min prime 95...so like i said its real temp thats reading it that way....

your new values are more believable and even 32°C idle is still perfect... be realistic if you tell us you got 77° ambient, it's hard to idle at a lower value not ?

sorry if this info is posted already, but how can I tell from the box what stepping a chip is. I'm picking one up from microcenter and I want to call in and have a sales rep tell me the serial off the box. What serials am I looking for?

Look for anything after Q821XXX and you will be fine... E8600 is for sure EO ; most E8500's too , but with 8400 you need to be carefull
