I'll give you an example. I ran 4.0Ghz @1.224 for 4 hours, did a little surfing afterwards, left the computer on all night and then rebooted, went into the BIOS to start bumping it up a little more and it said I had an overclocking failure. sounds more like the usual thing your running with unstable ram , most likely to tight a tRD , especially if left on auto. what ddr3 voltage are you running ??
My OCZ platinum is rated 1.8v and that's what I run it at. I loosened the timings from 7-7-7720 to 9-9-9-24 to see if I could get any higher than 4.3. Might be the tRD is too tight, what do you think? It is on auto.
Also no one mentioned if they thought that my vdrop/vdroop is too much.BIOS is set to 1.4, CPU says 1.36 in Windows and 1.328 under load. Doesn't that seem like an awful lot?
