    Advanced Overclocking Championship 2008 (aocc2008) - Hong Kong July '08

    Youngpro and I will be there from Team.AU
    Many other well known guys attending.
    Website shown does not appear to be up yet.

    "28th July - International OC Arena

    Hardware Configuration:

    - Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770
    - ASUS P5Q3 Deluxe
    - ASUS ENGTX280
    - Kingston HyperX DDR3-1800 or DDR3-2000
    - > 1KW PSU (Brand/Model TBD)


    Weapons :

    - All hardware will be provided by ASUS and participants are to use them only. A pre-check will be conducted.
    - Bring your own LN2 pots for CPU/GPU/Chipset. (LN2, Dry Ice and thermo flasks will be provided).
    - Modding of hardware is allowed so bring your modding tool kit too
    - All HDD will be provided and pre-installed with XP and Vista. XP is for SuperPI and 3DMark01 while Vista is for 3DMark Vantage.
    - All HDD will be pre-installed with the standard set of tweaking tools and drivers. No outside software allowed, so no thumb drives etc.
    - If any of your hardware fails during the competition, you may request for a replacement. However, if the same piece of hardware fails again, no further replacement will be provided.


    Scoring Rules:

    - Get the highest score possible for each benchmark within a given timeframe
    - - Points will be allocated according to ranking of your scores. For eg. 1st - 20 pts, 2nd - 18pts.
    - Raise your hand to submit a score and a marshall will verify and take down the score.
    - Highest total points at end of time wins.
    - scores submitted after the given time frame will not be counted


    Some Tips

    - Bring along insulation materials, case fans, CPU coolers etc.
    - Hair dryers are useful so bring them along.
    - UPS and Surge protectors are allowed if you want to bring along
    - Hong Kong uses 3pin G type socket, 220V 50Hz


    29th July - Maximum Hardcore

    - ASUS Striker II Extreme
    - 3 x ASUS ENGTX280
    - Kingston HyperX DDR3-1800 or DDR3-2000
    - 2 x > 1KW PSU (Brand/Model TBD)


    Weapons :

    - LN2 pots for CPU, 3-way SLI GPUs, chipset etc.
    - Only extreme modding is allowed
    - You may bring along your own golden CPU
    - You may bring your own HDD with preferred OS and tweaking tools

    Scoring Rules:

    - No rules
    - This isn't a competition but just to have some fun playing with 3-way SLI and setting some records.
    - 3 countries will form a group and if there are 18 countries, there will be 6 groups"
