    I heard recently that, starting with XP, Windows O/S's come with only so many activations before you run out and have to contact Microsoft. (Free, I think.) I was on Windows' '98 up until a few months ago so... well, who knew? And this thread has me wondering if the OEM version differs in the # of activations or something else related to this (#$%!) feature?
