i'd suspect hairdryer is not hot enough.. pan-frying method sounds as horrible then burning with a pocket torch..

whatever, i think its completely useless as in my case i neither got better overclock nor better temps.. won't do it again..

but if you like the adrenaline, you can try.. i'd think it's an effect comparable to a bungee jump at least and i think bungee jump is safer :p
