You may have spotted this already, but the image posted by Knitelife claiming to be a quad core without it's IHS is actually a pentium D presler. The orientaion of the dies is wrong for a quad core Kentsfield. Another image is avalialable @ http://tweakers.net/reviews/614/18 which is a weblog of the Intel developers forum spring 2006.
