Quad Core - Storm to Fuzion Update.

about a week ago, I asked about upgrades to my watercooling.
after alittle talk, I got the fuzion and a new radiator + some extra goodies... but I am doing the upgrades a few days apart, so I can fully see the impact.

first upgrade, Storm (original version from last summer) to Fuzion.

first off, let me say this.
my entire goal of this set of upgrades, was to simply bring my load temps down by 10C.

as you can see, I didn't need to do much ...

Test Set Up.

Swiftech MCP655...
Dangerden Cylinder Res.
Old BIX Extreme something something radiator (cheapest dual one from last summer at dangerden)
1/2 ID set up.
Thermalright "Chillfactor" thermal paste.

PC.

Xeon 3210 at 8 x 450 with 1.48 volts.
P5B deluxe, with all available mods. Bios 1004.
8800 GTX.
2 gigs Mushkin PC8500.
1000 watt Silverstone PSU.

Was it Worth it?

hell yeah.

these are immediate results too.

the Storm was being used for the last week on this PC, so the thermalpaste has had time to set, and reach its best temps.
the Fuzion I just got today, and the results are from a block swap, so the thermalpaste hasnt really set in yet, so the temps may actually get better in about a week.
they went down about 3C over the last week with the storm.
so hopefully they will with the fuzion too.

but honestly, I am not worried about it at all.

if anyones wondering, I chose Wprime, cause its a brutal benchmark on the 1024 mark. takes about 6-7 minutes to finish, and uses all available cores.
in this case, all 4 cores are at 100% use to get the highest load temp possible.
