    This has been something i've witnessed with the 680i boards only.. also note that with quads orthos (any number of instances running) just stresses 2 cores.
    I use prime or the lavalys stress test instead which stress all 4 cores (my guess is that they both stress cpu a bit less than orthos) and are closer to real life full loads.
    However having a system pass orthos for a couple of hours is an extra guaranty of it's stability.
