A "withe box" give me a good motivation to bench again in my friend Ricky and their fantastic cascades..

Bench with Ricky is a fantastic and fun experience
After we break the 40K barrier on 2001 and the 4Ghz AMD barrier, the Intel Conroe X6800 seems a good incentive to cure the frustations of a few coold bugged sessions ..

Here is a few photos :

- Preparing the motherboard:

- Ricky doing last minute parts to the cascade

- CPU mounted on the cascade and the X1900's cards mounted with Stock Coolers and a little help from AC to cool the chipset and cards..

And now the setup used in our first bench session :
- Ricky CPU cascade
- Core2 Duo X6800 WB
- Asus P5W-DH - Vcore=1.68v / vMCH=1.7v / VMem=2.5v
- Corsair 6400C3
- X1900 Master card and X1900XTT with stock coolers
- Some old school tweaking

First a Superpi with no tweaks (maxmem or others) just to test stability :

And now our prefered bench

82K with stock coolers on the graphic cards was not so dificult

4900Mhz 3DMark benchable seeems very possible, but was late and I have a busy day tomorrow ..

Next day's task
-> Give more voltage to CPU, chipset and memory and find their benchble limit ..
-> Calibrate the CPU cascade and GPU cascades
-> Put the graphics cards on the double GPU cascade, and pray that are not coold buged with proper mods ..

As you can see much more to come..

A big thanks to my good friend from the other side of the world that get me the "withe box" - friendship and desire to learn are two of the much important things in live

As usual was fun bench session with my partner in bench, hope you enjoy it
