So is this feature hardware dependent?
There is no way to get ATi's drivers, or the game itself patched to support VTF?
It's a hardware feature, and ATi left it out of their x1800xt, probably by mishap.

Basically, they pulled a NV3x(which left out parts of dx9 IIRC)... it's going to bite them clean in the come UT2k7.
