    Guess what I found

    http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v3...33/asus6xc.jpg

    .. Catalyst.X has already done it !!

    .. but there is mentioned in that picture that RT9202 would generate Vgpu
    and ISL6522CB Vmem !!!

    Pantacle: Do you think that your card is exactly the same as shown in this figure ???

    --

    The datasheet for RT9202 can be found here:

    http://www.richtek.com.tw/Product/Docs/DS9202-02.pdf

    .. and the voltage modifiaction in that picture makes sense: resistor (Vres) is connected between FB and GND (increases output voltage)

    Please, be careful and measure Vmem all the time.. I suggest to use combination of resistor+potentiometer. Similar to suggested here:

    Whether I do not know my this card. But I think it is necessary to try. I consider, that mine VGPU is easier for making.

    At least the code is correct 'V9999/TD/N128M/A' is'n it ?

    --

    I am just worried if the information shown in that picture is correct ?

    If I had that card, I would track with multimeter those regulator circuits, from regulator-chip to MOSFET's and capacitors and measure voltages of those capacitors. After that I would insert a HIGH value resistor, measure again etc.

    I have asus 9999 le/td (6800le).
    I was made pencil voltmod of Catalist.X.
    I don`t have result. Vmem= 2.74

    What you exactly did ? Pencil trick or soldered a resistor ?

    I apologize, that long did not answer, I had problems about communication with the Internet. I have drawn pencil a path from 5 to 7 leg of the chip. 2.74 is constant

    Pencil tricks are quite uncertain/risky: do can never be sure what value of resistance you have added.

    --

    I have an idea.. if you want help to search easier (if possible) way to mod, could you check (=measure) the resistances between this 'leg 5' and all test points TP's ? Try to find a short or low resistance ..

    To measure resistance (when power is off !!!) between leg 5 of ISL-regulator chip AND testpoints (one point at time). As a result you should have following resistance values:

    R(leg5-TP1) =
    R(leg5-TP2) =
    R(leg5-TP3) =
    R(leg5-TP4) =

    OK.. I assumed you have, beacause you knew your memory voltage (?)

    Maybe Frostologe could help ...

    Do you think Catalyst.X's mod would work on my card???
    Hmm I have a problem with meassuring the resistance because I prepared my card for below zero cooling.
    But maybe I could do something there
    Cooling is life the rest just details.

    Do you think your card is exactly the same: pcb, components etc. ? If answer is yes then should be ok.. but I suggest to use VERY high resistances at first AND measure corresponding voltages before/after to find out which voltage is changing and how much..

    --

    Do you still have bottom of the card visible i.e. your can measure points that side ? I was just wondering if those TP's are related to leg 5 of ISL-regulator chip (=small resistance between leg5 - 'any-of those-TP's). The point is that COULD give a very easy way to make a mod..

    Has anyone done the vmem and vgpu mod for the Asus V9999GT 128Mb and know for sure that the the measureing points are
    TP1 = Vcore
    TP2 = Vmem
    TP3 = VTT/VREF
    TP4 = GND
    I´m going to do them later this week so I need to know where to measure vmem and vgpu.

    As far as I know TP2 should be Vmem (only one having voltage at correct range). TP1 & TP3 are more tricky (since those are almost identical). I suggest to do as follows:

    - Measure all TP's first
    - Make Vmem mod next. Adjust Vres VERY carefully (=little) and measure Vmem in the same time. Measure TP1 and TP3 again and the one which has changed value is VTT/VREF. I assume VTT/VREF is generated from Vmem

    Another idea would be to flash bios to have different Vcore, and again measure changes.

    I´ve tried to mod the bios with Nibitor but it does not work with this card. I don´t know of any other way to do it. I can´t use another gt´s bios because my model has 128mb ddr1 memory and the real gt´s have 256mb gddr3.

    I think that I´ll try it any way because i got it for about 24€ from some guy that tought it was broken

    Edit: I´ve done it now and it works
    But it dont help with the core oc it seems but the Vmem worked like charm.
    Before it was at 750 now at 2,95V@885!
    Tp1=Vgpu
    Tp2=Vmem
    Tp3=same as Tp1
    Tp4=Ground
    And I found out that picture is wrong Vmem is the top chip and Vgpu is the bottom chip.
