Wow, loads of nice pictures. Looking very, very sweet indeed. Can't wait to see if performance on the final retail board will actually match Nforce4 Intel Ed.

Does anybody know if the 955X chipset supports Nvidia SLI? I keep wondering why nobody mentions it, now that it does have the physical ability to plug in 2x 16x pci-e videocards.... Or did I just miss something?.... not that it would be a first for me either... LOL

Yes, ok I've gathered that much, so it will work with 2x Nvidia cards in SLI mode then I presume Wonder how it performs in SLI mode compared to Nvidia Nforce4 SLI Intel Ed. It's going to be great reading some reviews here soon

Cool. thx for all your info sxs112, I'm basically just waiting for a new mobo right now to put a new super rig together, and it's going to be either a 955X or a Nforce4 Intel Ed. so every bit of information is extremely welcomed

Hmmmm...... something doesn't add up here. That board looks nothing like the one Asus had at the Cebit show. The one shown above has some pretty strange features for a new board too. Below are some pics of the P5W and P5N boards that were on display at Cebit, these are from an article at techPowerUp.

Asus has the board on their global website now.
    http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?...493&modelmenu=1

    I love the feature set:
    Wifi a/b/g
    TV - analog/digital/FM stereo
Unlocked Multiplier (will they come out with bios updates for older boards w/ this?)

computerhg has it for pre-order for $299.

When are the Nvidia4 chipset boards coming-out? If Asus comes out with a 775mobo w/ that chipset and this featureset, I'm all over it. Heck, I may go for the P5WD2 - Premium anyways. Anybody want to buy my month old P5AD2-e Premium?

    Update:

ZZF has it listed now(back-ordered) for $199. I bet it'll jump up to $249 or $299 when they get them in.

Asus says this is supposed to be available this monday, May 2.

Crap!!, ZZF had the 955X on Monday listed for $199.99, 4 days later $279.99. Well, I guess I won't be upgrading to Dual Core, 955X and DDR2 800 anytime soon.

I guess the more people hit the "back-in-stock alert", they'll raise the price of that motherboard to a more ridiculous price. The most I'll ever pay for a premium top of the line motherboard: $199. So for a 955X

so goes to rules of supply and demand...

there is no supply, so they demand more of your money....

Btw I'd also like to ass that Asus tech support are complete s. If any Asus guys are reading this they need to fire some people in their customer service dept. I spoke with them on 2 differnt occasions and both people were horribly rude

I asked a simple question as to when the i955X woudl arrive in retail and I was greeted with the most RUDE person i have ever spoken with on the phone.

I was getting an Asus, but no way in hell am I going to now. Just a warning for fellow XSers

Yes the board supports the SLI cards but the blue port will only do 16X
and the black port will do 4X with toltal of 20 lanes of bus lanes, and you must have SLI Drivers but at the molment Nvidia does not have any SLI ready drivers because there waiting on the crochfire from ATI to see how it will perform and if drivers need better tweaking.

Mabie Bios Updates Too but I have this board and so far love it but waiting on a new eVGA eGeForce 6800 Ultra Replacment before I will get it to post .

    RLemmon

    Get eVGA

Also there are 2 versions of the boards that are out and 1 comes with the TV Tuner/ WIFI card and the other flavor don't come with it and there is a 40 dollar diffrent between prices and http://www.eWiz.com has them in stock and ready to ship asap.

Grate company btw highley intrest you all in this company

P5WD2 with TV and Wifi PCB

    Dear friends,
i'm Italian Boy. I search something that have buy this motherboard with the TV PCI cards.

I would see in the same time anologue, DVB-T and hear Radio.
At this time i need an antenna up my Home. There are 8 people that use the signal of the antennas.
I see the analog TV and if i connect the antenna to the DVB-T connector , i see the digital TV.
What do you thigs for the next Connection:

Cable that come“s from antenna, divide in 2 connector and connect at the same time to the anologue and DVB-T connector. I can only change the settings in the power cinema and so i can see the analog and digital TV and hear radio.

What Porgram do you use for the the TV? I use the power cinema that i have receive from asus with the motherboard.

I have problem with "cold" start of PC , with the video pcb X700 ATI sapphire with the DVI connection.
Next 4 minuts that i have turn on the power , the monitor have no more signal.
If i start another time the PC , is all ok.

    Say me soethings please.
