MSI Diamond - new BETA BIOS 5.02

Here is the latest Diamond Beta BIOS. 19% over VID. Just flashed it.

Initial results: Just booted at 305 FSB, 1:1 1T, 9x multi for 2.75 GHz on my A64 3200+ with no issues. Always had to use Clockgen before this BIOS. So far, so good.

You can get it here (version 5.02)

The BIOS seems to work well and is very stable. The BIOS reports the ability to got to 1.738V, but the highest I have seen is 1.568 according to CPU-z. So the earlier concerns about the MSI boards needing a physical volt mod to exceed 1.55V (for 90 nm processors) looks to be correct.

The nice surprise was the support for 3.10 VDimm. In the past, 2.85V was the max.

Does this board work under subzero conditions?

it was the same with k8n neo2 and some bios break it up why it won't happen on diamond , and secondly nothing "hardware" could permit 1.7 v to newcastles and 1.56v to winnies
oups u 're right: didn't saw the opb post!

The only phase cooled systems I have seen use the FX-55, so the sub-zero Winnie core issue may persist, much like the Neo2. But, I would think they resolved that some time back, as the 1.5x Neo2 BIOS fixed the problem for the older board.

Wrong, the problem was never solved, tried 3 diferent winnies in Neo2 and all the bios. Even on DFI the problem its not solved, also tried in K8N Diamond.
I think the problem is the cpu not the motherboards.

Interesting. Some people are feeezing the Winnie's to get 3.2 GHz or so. Maybe it is a CPU stepping or the like. And, these frozen results were on MSI Neo2's.
