    Working with my XBL

Okay people, got this far with my new RAM. I'm stable at these settings, I want to know I can tweak the timings at all to get a better SuperPi score and better score in everything else. I am not too familiar with A64 tweaker, so can you guys help me out? Thanks

    not too shabby.

I picked up a gig of the same RAM to run in my wife's rig.

    Does 250FSB at 2.5-3-3-7 1T no problem.

Yeah this is good stuff, wish I could give it a little more juice, but its alright.

I got it to boot into Windows at 270FSB @ 2.5-3-3-8!! But my system rebooted when I opened up 3dmark01. Thats awesome.

I just want to see if I can use A64 tweaker to get my timings better.

Its strange. My TCCD +XBLK Patriot reach 295 Mhz 2.5-3-3-7 at 2.75V and works fine (5 passes 1-8 test in OCZ Memtest). Well, its 2x256.
The screen below is at 315Mhz at 3-4-4-8, the CPU ratio was set 7x, because i was looking for max frequency of mems, it's explain the low score in sandra, can reach 320 Mhz at 2.85V, but i forgot take a screen. More than 320 it is not stable, even using 2.90V.

Wow, you've got yourself some nice sticks there. You have two sticks of 256 though, which could be the reason of the higher clocks and tighter timings. Still over 300 is really nice.

    Here try this..

change the tras:6 -> 10 and trtw:4 (bottom) -> 3, do it in memtest 1.51 (change a64 settings) and see what I mean, run the test to make sure (2 passes t8, 10 passes t5, 1 pass all) then pop into winders and repeat changes.

Also try 2.65 Vdimm when memtesting (what I'm running as I type this ) I also upped R/W Bypass to 16. D2ol and OCCT stable. We expect a report!

Congrats. I got mine to 280 x 8 on a A64 2800+. For some reason, I had to lower the LDT Multi to 3x from 4x.

    I thought you wanted the LDT x HTT to always =~ 1000. 280x3 = 840 (160 difference) where 280x4 = 1120 (120 difference).

There is no 3.5x on my DFI Lanparty UT, do the hacked/modded BIOS have that option?

You are partially right, you do need to alter LDT too keep it around 1000, but not over 1000 which causes instability. Keep it on the lower side of 1000 and you'll be fine.

I use an LDT of 3 all the time, which at 280 HTT gives a speed of only 840, but that provides plenty of Hypertransport bandwidth anyway.

Thanks a lot Mike, I did what you said and I was Memtest stable with those settings. Applied them in Windows and I am stable as well. Thanks a lot, I'll get some screenshots up soon with the new settings. Once again thanks.

I hit 300x7 2.5-3-3-10 @ 2.85V It was stable enough for three Sandra benches.. then it crashed when I opened Photoshop.

For some reason, my machine is crazy slow and unstable when the tcl is 3

How much luck are you having with yours jayjaya?

Well, I have not tried clocking my mem any higher then 270, knowing that my machine is really unstable, but bootable into windows. So I guess I could lower the multi and try and find the limit of my RAM, but I'm not really compelled to do so right now. I'm gonna focus on working with my RAM to get better scores in 3dmark, SuperPi, etc

    DOH - Danm brain Farts

I'm glad that worked, however what I meant to say is :
    trc: 11 -> 10
(Tras can be either 6 or 7, whichever is most stable )

I don't see why not, I mean heat would probably be your worst enemy here, underload, like Memtest, my RAM is hot to the touch, and I'm at 2.85.

It is only late models of TCCD which will tolerate high voltage and it will let you run Cas2 much higher, but you stand a good chance of frying it.
