    Assembly after drilling properly sized holes and cutting capillary.

    i got to give it to ya chilly that cap tube design the way it enters and sits will reduce the chance of brazing the cap tube shut greatlly
    those screw fittings that you use how tight do you have to do them up to get them air tight?

    Sand blast them. More surface roughness = heat transfer to the refrigerant

    So the capillary could not enter in the brass screw? U gotta fit it in another hole and braze it? Btw great stuff over there

    I remember you said something about making the evaporators out of aluminium.

    You were TIG welding them and.. well this pic probably tells everything:



    The question is: what where the problems with aluminium evaporators ? You said about cracking joints, did you archieve proper filling ? Can copper be welded using a tig ? AFAIK it is possible and sjould work very good.
