    hi guys,
i've try for the first time XTU on seven.
How can find a way to get a stable frequency without turbo?
Because with the same bios setup on xp i've 4,8ghz with constant 48x multiplier, with seven i've the multiplier between 8 and 48?
    Probably is a stupid question...

The problem might be the power options... have a play with the minimum processor percentage etc

I never had a problem with 7 but heard a few people had similar issues & the answer was power options.

In the BIOS, disable all of the C-States, and disable Speed Step (if you've not already). Those are the usual culprits for speeds changes once in the OS.

Giving this board a 2nd try for now. Still trying to figure out what it's setting so tight that requires more VDIMM for Super Pi 32M than the Gigabyte at the same clocks and primary timings.

Set the same settings you manually set before, and then compare the secondary and tertiary timings. What kind of vdimm difference are we talking? .05v? .1v? My understanding is that because this board has really good memory training, you might have to set the boot voltage a little higher, but then lower the eventual voltage to what you would like to run.

I've had no issues what-so-ever with my board. Now granted, I'm no memory clocking or 32M super pi guru, but I couldn't get my "bad" kit of PSC to run 2600 for the life of my on my 3770k (which my "good" kit ran easily). But this board takes my "bad" kit to 2600+ on air.

Here's an example. To run my 4x4GB Trident X 2666C11 kit at 2800 12-14-14-35-2T, it only took 1.65v for Super Pi 32M. I only needed 1.695v to do the same speed at C11:

On the OCF, 2800 C12 needed 1.72v set!

I really want to like this board, so I'm trying to figure out why I can't get it to do what the Gigabyte can. I hooked the OC Force back up so I could show you the RTLs and IO-Ls.

I noticed the 32M time is slightly faster on the Formula, but I can't see what in the tertiaries is so tight it would require so much more VDIMM.

Here's what I'm trying to do to boot my 4x4GB Trident X 2666C11 kit at 3000C12 (passed 32M on Gigabyte OC Force).

    Set BCLK 125
    Set strap 1.25x
Set Memory to 24x divider for DDR3-3000
    Select Hynix 3000 (B/C/E)FR 1.75v DRAM preset
    SA voltage +0.3v
    VIOD +0.25v
    VIOA +0.2v
    DRAM voltage 1.75~1.85v

I get 55 every time. What am I doing wrong??

Today i've test my psc memory.
I can't find a way to tighten the tertiary, is a limit of my memory?
Also someone know 71 code error what's means?

Board is not behaving properly now. Even on stock settings (after a bios reset), it gets stuck on USB Detect or PCH Initialization. I did try to wait it out but 10 minutes is just a too much.
Tried 2 different processors and it behaves similarly. RMA time or this is the CPU? I don't have any other board to try with the processors.

Edit 1: I did try 2 different mouse and keyboards already. PS/2 and USB same result.
Edit 2: Now it gives the code B4 (USB Hotplug) and just stays there.

A little dissappointed that there doesn't seem to be anyway to tweak RAM timings through Windows currently on Extreme6...

This is not a board/vendor related issue, rather Intel has chosen to lock this aspect down so that is why timing changes within the os are not possible.
