    okay thank you!

Last night I got a pretty stable 4.6 ghz overclock (11.5 hrs LinX w/ AVX). This is on air with a NH-D14.
One problem: I have to use LLC set to Extreme. With LLC Turbo, the Vdroop is ~0.025V (from 1.272 -> 1.248), and linX fails in ~30 min. With LLC Extreme, the Vcore is rock solid at 1.272V in CPU-Z (though not sure about REAL Vcore) and gives me 100% stability.

Would it be okay keeping LLC Extreme for 24/7 usage? Or, should I just use LLC Turbo and more voltage to compensate for Vdroop? I'm still not 100% sure on safe 24/7 Ivy Bridge voltage so I'm trying to raise Vcore slowly and only when I really need to.

Use turbo with more vcore. Extreme overvolts, turbo is spot on measured with a DMM. CPU-Z shows it dropping when its not.

for a 24/7 overclock, do you think 1.3V would be too much on AIR? or 1.35V too much? (for Ivy Bridge) I can't seem to find anything that tells me safe voltages for Ivy Bridge, and i'm scared to test myself :P

Having problems getting over 4.5 ghz on water

The Vcore is jumping around idle its 1.6ghz at 1v then under load it jumps to 1.31v which IMO is too high and I have it set in bios to 1.28v

Also core #2 in Core Temp is well above the others

SCREEN SHOT IVY.jpgscreen shot ivy 2.jpg

I don't mind the system stepping down to save power but its going well above my set point.

is there a bios thread that shows what people are set at for stability???

try to set an offset and see how that does. the vcore going to 1.31v is SVID you will have to try offset.

1.31 VID @ 4.55 seems really high to me, and your temps are a little uneven. 99c on one, 70c on the other? wow! :P you could try remounting your water block to see if that helps the temps

I have the G15 Keyboard and The MX518 mouse. The mouse works just fine in bios and windows setup when using the 2 usb ports located directly below the ethernet ports. Or when using a PCi USB front header connection. This has worked since bios F5 for the UD3H for me.

you will freeze in BIOS if your OC is not stable. 5ghz 1.31v on ivy bridge? the UEFI puts a load on the CPU.

Do you have the UD3 or UD5?

The three Ivy's I tested did 4.5 stable with 1.25V, so Id set it manually there, and put LLC on Turbo. Dont trust CPU-Z or software either.

Also, for your temp differences, did you spread the TIM or do a dot in the middle? See here,
    http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1697037

Spreading for more contact area, and a thinner application then the dot method, does best with Ivy.

Too early for anyone to tell just yet. I always do the VID + 10-15% rule. Say your vid is 1.15V, then 1.265-1.3225V should be fine daily if your cooling is good enough.

BIOS F9c is not setting more than 1.848 vdimm & 1.322 vcore measured on a DMM..... Can anyone else confirm this?

The board also reports this not just a DMM.

    ### Edit ###

Cant get past 1.848 vdimm but vcore goes higher.

    Bios 1.35 DMM 1.308
    1.36 - 1.32
    1.37 - 1.32
    1.38 - 1.332
    1.39 - 1.344
    1.4 - 1.356 ..... didnt test higher

There's also another new feature in Periferals - Trusted Computing.... TPM Support.... didnt look fast so left it alone!!

Also the Legacy Benchmark Enhancement dont do nothing for me & Spi 32M
