Unhappy EK Supreme HF issue (SOLVED)

    Hey guys,
I have a very strange issue with my EK Supreme HF block rev.1. I have this block for quite a while now and never had any problems, but I recently bought a different top for it and now it makes very annoying noise. First I thought it's just a bleeding period, but after 2 days my loop is fully bled and the sound still there. It does sound like some air trapped in the block but more repetitive, almost like a clock and goes away if I turn my rig upside down. But as soon as I turn it back on it's feet the sound back too.

    The only change was:
    1. new top (red acrylic instead of black acetal)
    2. new fittings (EK instead of Bitspower).

P.S. I'm not sure if it's important, but my block mounted upside down too (180º).

If you have acrylic top then you can see what is inside of block, right?
    Is jet plate sitted nicely?

Everything looks fine, I even re-assembled it one more time just to be sure. And I don't see any bubbles either.

Are you 100% sure it is coming from block?
180 degree rotated position should not be a problem.

99% sure. 1% goes to EK 580 block.

I'm guessing it's simply the materials differences...acetal is generally better with noise than acrylic for pump tops, so I would assume a similar thing happens with block tops.

Turning the pump down should help.

Well... I guess it was some nasty bubble after all. I just got home from work and the noise is gone.
I absolutely agree with you Martin about materials differences and noise. I think I just never noticed that noise before with acetal top.

I'm so happy that my new top is fine. I don't think EK will make them anymore (rev.1) and I payed some crazy $$ for shipping from Slovenia.
