That would be great! And if it's not too much trouble, please include an "un-boxing" sequence of the OEM packaged card.
I shudder to think that my beloved EVGA would be sending OEMs lesser cards than their retail partners.
Gotta love EVGA customer service & support...![]()
Wow! EVGA actually replied here to help Initialised, thats awesome.
That's because, ironically, unlike us, they realize how much power we have to influence buying decisions the world round.

Intel's atom is a terrible chip.
Funny the Nvidia Focus Group member claiming it's a shopped photo because the resistors are out of alignment. The PCB is deformed due to extreme heat, of course the resistors are not parallel like the ones on the rest of the card. The board warps and bubbles and yet the components mounted on that area are supposed to stay perfectly aligned or its shopped?
Marketing desk jockies with no technical knowledge should stick to marketing.

This is pretty much why I dont want to using hot and power hungry GPUs again. Unless I ever move to water cooling, I dont want the heat, noise, or possible explosions.
A custom GTX 570 would be the highest I would go, but my 560s @ 950 Mhz only peak at around 70ish degrees and are completely silent, while performing just as good as the 480 / 570.
The only reason I didnt like ATI and the 6950 was due to the complete lack of custom cooled options, and the MSI Twinfrozr one was £50 without dual bios and also unflashable from what I read.
And now I also regret having bought GTX 460s and 560s with how cheap the 5850s have gone :x
Ehehehe ... i think that a new "way of feeling the game" is on the air...
When i bought the GTX295 ... i had lots of fun with it ... "she" was a really capable girl ... 1.2v was "peanuts" ... ( on water ehehe ... and dual pcb ) ...
Really, when i buy cards, i want to have fun with it ...
With the GTX590 ... it's just "Living each day as it was your last day" with the board ... it's not about having fun ... it's about being " under pressure " ...
" HUH? What was that click i heard?! Oh ... damn ... it was my kid turning of the light "
" HUH!?? What's this Smell ? Is it burning? ... Oh no .. it's just the barbecue ... "
I mean ...
Q: " Hey ... do some oc to see how it goes "
A: " ARE YOU F***ING CRAZY?!?! Where the hell do you live man?! That's just suicidal! "
So ... yeah ... lots of fun with this card ... a different fun ... ok ... it's not fun ... it's just plain stress ... :P
P.S. I had a POV TGT Ultra Charged in my test bench for 2 days ... i had 5+ reboots ... some freezings ... huge scores at vantage... like ... a run of 25k ... So, yes... Nvidia needs to optimize something in this card or in the software ...

Oh...your ass is grass and I've got the weed-whacker.
Wow... an eVGA rep got on here to deal with the problem personally?
That's why I bought eVGA cards in the past, and why I will more than likely buy them in the future.![]()

I thought Evga was known to take care of its customers. Hence why there board is one of the more enthusiastic forums and more populated.
I don't think Evga is doing anything particularly out of the ordinary into helping out a customer. It simply normal for them and seems extraordinary compared to let say Sapphire or Zotac.

If this was tPU, you'd be ultra banned for 'Ban Evasion' by now, stupid tPU. Play nice with the XS admins :-) This has got to be one of the best, open tech sites out there. Back on topic - I do wish they would have come up with something *stock* like the MSI 'overkill' design for the new Lightning Series GTX 580's, may have prevented some of the issues caused.

I banned him. There are rules around here, and he continued to violate them - even after being warned by multiple admins. But it's a new type of ban that still allows him to post in the News section. It's one of many new changes that we'll be announcing in a mass e-mail to all XS members later today.
Remember, XS is not a democracy...it's a benevolent dictatorship! So all y'all better just watch yourselves.

Hmm, doesn't sound like my sort of forum then, much prefer forums that show mutual respect.
