so you can't run BH-5 rams in sync?
pity
show us superpi scores!
It's really a pity.... it was running REALLLL nice but without a strong PSU, I don't know what I can do???? Don't have time to go to Fry's and get a Vantec 520w or a Antec TC550...
No, you can run BH-5 in synch, just not SPD2700/3000 branded sticks. Thanks to OCZ, I'll have the solution soon....Originally posted by snowwie

You know you've accomplished something, when your PSU has become the bottleneck![]()
Yeah, it was something strange...
3 times in a row, I booted at 3200, like 13 x 248, and had no problem running sPi at 3200+ mHz, then the PSU stopped.
It was running sPi fine for the first 23s and then giving me error message, it was REAL close, that's why I kept trying. It was probably a 26s run...I hooked up the fortron and it worked, hooked the TTGI back in and it just makes this meager sound as it turns it's own fans, weakly, and won't make the mobo POST...
Yeah, I checked and double checked......
dead PSU.
This sucks. I was rollin...
Well the only good thing is that this gives me the chance to buy a new PSU!!! I'm thinking PCP & Cooling 510 Dlx or the new OCZ with the adjustable rails....after all, even FUGGER couldn't KILL it!
I may try again later, with the Fortron 350W Hi-Q PSU, although I won't expect muchIs it possible to hurt my mobo/CPU with a PSU that's too weak?

It's all on page 18 of the "Official A8V" thread in the AMD section....
to summarize, pull two resistors, and replace with 2 VR's. Pre-set the Vddr VR (10K) to 2.15Kohm and preset the Vcore VR (100ohm) to 20ohm, and adjust from there!

pics plz? I like DI setups!
nice work man
i wouldnt trust anything by TTGI anyway, get urself a PCP&C 510 or fortron 530
u got a vid card yet?
can you see the light? is it shining too bright? can you see the light at the end of the tunnel, i know i do, i know its true.
3dmark anyone?
why do you think the fortron 350 is weak? dont know what model yours is, but mine is anything from weak. mine (60BTP) uses the same parts as the 400W fortron psu
and afaik the fortron 530 (?) also generates every rail seperate, its a very nice psu but hard to find. good luck!
too bad the Asus A8V VIA KT880 Pro sucks so baaaaaad...
guess I 'll have to switch to a NF3![]()
I've seen the SuperPi and the PiFast.......
but I'm not going to share that stuff 'til I can run at 1:1
(still impressive though...)
Nice, charlie. Not bad for a board that sucks.![]()

Holy crap! Screenshot at 3441mhz!!!
Fecking awesome m8. Damn that chip is flying. And under Dice too, not "even" cascade....
Oh and the pic you asked for Twilus......
Oh that's a beautiful sitethanks a lot C! Btw, is that blue stuff masking tape?
Yes, Layered masking tape. On the PCB a couple sheets of paper towel, then tape, then more towel, then more tape.Originally posted by twilius_basic

This good for about an hour or so of playtime, then need to disassemble and check for condensation. Later on I'll do the "permanent" housing/proofing, but I just wanted to play
