So far Ive only tried 1333 at 1.5v. I have been using 1.66v for testing so far, but they seem to be a good kit. Congrats on the new toys!!

it has more processing power, just does it a bit slower. I believe its because of Sandybridge's cache and improved front end throughput as well as the fact that it lacks a hefty FSB. It acts wierd, whooping ass in superpi, but clock for clock its not that quick. OCed the bloomfields have a lot of great advantage because of their huge FSB.

    VERY nice OCNUB!!!!!

You have CPU PLL Overvoltage enabled right?

[QUOTE=maxxx;4702800]Am having problems with the F7a bios. Every time I reboot, it will start/show the F6x bios (the backup bios), then restart again to the F7a bios. It won't directly start with F7a.
    Reverted back to F6x.

    -------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have similair probleems with my f67a ud7, yesterday I disconnected the
powercord to replaced my hd5770 by an gigabyte 460gtx.

when I restarted i got "MAIN BIOS ERROR"

stress stress mb recovered from de back up bios and restarted with f4,
i'm reluctant to reflash to f6a.

do we have buggy motherbords rev 1.0 or are the new bios files not yet
    stable?

Found on here, posted by C-N I think...

At power-on, press and hold ALT+F12, this will prompt you to copy the BIOS to the backup BIOS.

    New Question about LAN Chipsets?

I have been using Gigabyte boards for my E8400 chips with good success. I really like this new P67 UD7 but keep reading about how the Intel 82579 LAN chipset is much better than the Realtek 8111E LAN chipset?

Is this true and is UEFI really a good reason to go with a high end Asus/ASRock board? I am looking for a great board for SB 2600K build and with the new generation SSDs that are due out in a couple months. (C400/Sandforce 2000 Vertex3)

    Any and all advice appreciated.

Great write up sin0822 and a huge THANKS!

The board seems to clock well but it feels like I stepped back in time 2 years. It recovers from a failed oc about as well as the p45 ud3p (not to good). Makes me wish I had waited for a MSI GD80, or maybe tried something different. It still boots back to the backup bios on a bad oc sometimes, also hangs up with a code 4E which sometimes killing the power switch helps but most of the time it requires clearing the cmos. I had all but forgotten the bootloop until now.
Or maybe Im just whining or having pms.

Great to here.. I am picking up my DDR2000 kit tonight and the 2133's come Monday.. Will be interesting to see what 4 dims can do Hopefully they can figure out the OC recovery so its not such a PIA when finding good overclocks.

Hang in there, Gigabyte took "forever" to produce a good bios on the X58, but when they finnaly got it it was good.

Did a quick run at 4.6ghz, with a little tweaking was able to keep vcore just under 1.3v.

This will probably be my 24/7 oc.

    New beta BIOS is out.

The dual BIOS feature is a little sensitive right now and it trips a bit sooner than it should,BIOS guys will relax it a bit so it doesnt flick to backup mode so easy.

if you see it happen just flick the switch off the PSU and clear cmos and start clocking again.
