    Geforce GTX 570 comes soon

    http://www.fudzilla.com/graphics/ite...570-comes-soon

    480 shaders

It looks like the GF110 core will find home in one more card. Nvidia has just launched the Geforce GTX 580, also known as Fermi done right and you can take a look at our thoughts here, and there will be one more card to come.

Geforce GTX 570 is the name and it is based on the same chip but instead of 512 shaders enabled, the new card has one cluster less and 480 shaders, like the GTX 480. We can do the math and tell you how many other parts you care about Nvidia cut out, but we will wait to see the specs before we jump the guns.

The launch date has been set for this year, but we still don’t know exactly when. The interesting point is that this card should offer similar of faster performance than the GTX 480 at a lower price simply as the shader count is the same, and this new chip clocks higher.

We will try to find out more, but one thin is very clear, this card replaces GTX 480 and launches soon. (That's two things. sub. ed. )

So they release a GTX570 who will have 480SP? like the GTX480... 2-5% perf more of the actual GTX480 ? Anyway for the box it will be easy, just put a new stickers on it..

it should be a 480 with a new silicone rev and maybe some less bandwidth, but it should preform exactly the same or close with no meaningful change, the fixed chip should be lower watt.

IMO, look at the original furmi launch and thats whats coming

Maybe even be slightly slower, since the difference between 480 and 580 ain't that big. These are just chips that didn't pass the GTX 580 test. Should be available within two months or so, like it was the case with GTX 275. Still might be a decent replacement for the 480, using a lot less power and being even quieter than 580. Of course pricing and Cayman will determine the final outcome.

I expect to have a TDP of 225W, clocked at 700Mhz...
It would have even lower temperature than GTX 580.
So we will have GTX 480 performance at lower power consumption and heat.
And may be even higher frecuencys in overclocking...950-970Mhz.
Price i expect to be 369-399$.
Next would be GTX 560, 384SP, based on GF104, at 300$.

He, i know, thanks, i just make a joke it will make gain some times to AIB, they can use the old box, as the spec will be exactly the same .... i don't say they " rename GTX480 to GTX570 " lol ...

The specs won't be the same and it will be slower than GTX480. Don't forget, that Nv will also cut ROPs.
I would guess: 480sp 700mhz, 320bit with 1900mhz memory. A bit slower than GTX480 and later there should also be a third cut down part GTX565, as there would be still too much chips which aren't even good enough for GTX570.

May be, still this round a GTX 565 with 448SP? and a TDP 200W, will sound much better than what was GTX 465 to GTX 400'.
But i wouldn't be that sure, yelds could be much better for GF110 than they were for GF100.
I mean even the availability for GTX 580 is much better than it was for GTX 480&GTX 470.

Most probably, except for GTX460. GF110 has less heat consumption and better yields. So why not?

my bet's on the 5xx series failing due to the fact that you can get two 470's for a good bit less than the 580 and I'm guessing the same two 470's will only be a little bit more than the 570 (maybe $50 at most)

Makes me wonder if NVIDIA has any plans to use MLAA anti-aliasing mode for their cards. This is one of the things that has locked me to AMD cards regardless of what NVIDIA can offer now. Even if it's much faster or cheaper. And i can probably say this for sure that there are other ppl who think the same. So it would be nice if NVIDIA also offers us something like MLAA to give us a bit more choice

I bet the gtx560 will be a gf104 with all 384sp's. Like they were speculating as the new 470, however since the 4xx series are phasing out It would make since that the gf104 384sp become the gtx560.

It won't be stupid if the cost to produce the cards is cheaper?
Better cards to a lower price and with lower TDP to the end customers....
