One of the reason I am looking to get Photoshop is so I can edit out stuff like the stupid power line shadow running across the front of the building.

what camera are you using again ?

CS5 will help you get rid of that but because of the heavy wood grain of the old shed it wont do a good job of it.

the videos of CS5 and its content aware fill using the healing brush are highly over exaggerated.
i use it to get rid of power lines some times and its tricky to get it right and then you cant tell anyone there was something there or they will see it.

I took this one with a D5000 and the 18-55 Kit lens, I used the bloom feature in Photoscape to give it the rustic/hdr look.

just took a few shots with the Tamron AF 17-50mm F/2.8 XR Di-II LD SP ZL
the NON VC model (which by everything i read is sharper than the VC model.
it was back focusing on me just a tad but it was enough to see it when compared to manual focus via live view

i did some direct sunlight on metal and got just the tiniest hint of green aberrations at f/2.8
you had to zoom way in on the lcd when you viewed the image to see it, and it was on chrome metal too so....

wide open at 17mm shes a nice lens,, man,,, even at 50mm she's nice...
almost bought it but that tiny back focusing was really pissing me off,, especially after all the crap i went thru with my 7D focusing issues. i just wont deal with it, especially on a BNIB lens.

if i buy it i will make them order me a new one though.
but i am stuck between this and the new 70-300 VC lens from Tamron. everything i have read and pictures from POTN show its a friggin killer lens. better than the canon 70-300 USM IS and very close to the 70-200 F/4L but the L wins out in the end of course.

I hope you guys don't mind that I keep going back to the same spot. The light is really special in these days.
No I have so many shots from this little lake, form all angles, that I can make good 4-season movie, LOL, maybe I do it after I get some winter shots, soon.

That shot you posted here is special: i know it's a flare but it looks like it's raining light vertically from the sun into the lake. I had to look twice, at a first quick glance it looked like a geyser...
